Nana Golden Beach has a confirmed operational inventory of 16 tennis courts. This comprises 11 outdoor hybrid clay courts, 2 covered hybrid clay courts and 3 outdoor hard courts. The resort also has 6 outdoor padel courts.

Your 22.5 hours of professional coaching are structured around doubles development rather than simply providing court access. Sessions can address positioning, communication, shot selection, point construction and applying technical changes under pressure. A maximum ratio of one coach to six players gives you regular input while preserving enough space for realistic drills and coached play.

The precise court allocation and session flow remain operational decisions. The coaching team may select courts according to the session objective, group needs, court condition and weather. Covered hybrid clay courts provide useful additional flexibility, but they do not amount to a guarantee that every session can proceed unaffected by conditions.

Any tennis you wish to arrange outside the Active Away programme is separate from the included coaching. Ask your host or hotel reception about court-booking procedures, charges and equipment arrangements during your stay.

1. Make your restaurant choices early

The current resort arrangement allows up to three visits to the seven à la carte restaurants during a seven-night stay, with advance reservations required. 2. Pack for both court surfaces

You may play on hybrid clay and hard courts, so bring supportive tennis shoes with suitable grip rather than general running trainers. Pack more than one tennis outfit, a cap, sun protection and a reusable water bottle. Bringing spare grips can also be useful in warm conditions. If you plan to bring your own racket, protect it appropriately during travel and check your airline’s baggage rules.

3. Build recovery into the week

With 22.5 hours of coaching, sensible recovery will help you enjoy the full programme. Use the pools, take time to stretch and make use of the resort’s fitness or wellness options according to your needs. The Royal Wellness Club includes a spa pool, steam bath, sauna, relaxation area, heated indoor pool, massages and treatments, but age rules, reservations and extra charges may apply.

4. Keep Wednesday flexible

Wednesday is the planned day away from coached tennis. You could stay at the resort, visit the waterpark, relax beside a sandy cove or explore locally. Stalis is around 1 km away, Hersonissos 1.5 km and Malia 5 km. A bus stop is close to the resort. No excursion is assumed or guaranteed, so choose a day that matches your energy and interests.

5. Check seasonal and weather-dependent facilities

Waterpark opening, watersports and some outdoor venues can be seasonal or affected by weather. The waterpark has nine main slides plus toddler slides, with entry included for hotel guests, but opening times and age or height restrictions apply. Canoes and pedalos are subject to availability, while chargeable motorised and board-based watersports depend on weather and current operating terms.
