Another amazing week with Active Away. The coaching program is delivered in a fun and achievable level that enables you as an individual to implement it into your match play. I am so impressed with the professionalism of the coaches, special thanks to Dan & Annie, both on the court and off, nothing is too much trouble. I came with my husband but would definitely recommend it to anyone travelling solo as the entire holiday is so inclusive . The hosts ensure that everyone is looked after morning till night. I couldn’t recommend them enough.

We had a fantastic week in the sunshine with two great young coaches. They filled us with their energy & positivity & we have returned home as better players & with fun & lovely new tennis friends.

Despite the challenge of a smaller than anticipated group at the last minute, and an odd number of participants, our coaches Dan and Luke worked as a fabulous duo all week - taking an inventive, energetic and fun approach - to provide our small but mighty group with an excellent week of tennis coaching. The hotel, Royal Mare, was fabulous, sparklingly clean, excellent food and facilities. We had great fun on and off court. All in all a wonderful week in the Cretan sunshine on the clay with a really lovely group of people, that just clicked. Thank you!

Just back from my 3rd Active Away holiday and as a solo traveller. As always had a brilliant time, it’s all so well organised, the coaching is brilliant, the social side is perfect, you don’t need to think (apart from when actually on court)! It’s a perfect mix of tennis, relaxing, eating and socialising - you can dip in anc out as suits. If you love tennis, good food and company and sunshine you’ll love an Active Away holiday!

This was my first active away holiday. I wasn’t sure what to expect but really wanted to improve my doubles tactics. The coaching drills and games played 100% delivered on this objective. Beyond that, I had a fantastic time well hosted by great coaches and enjoying a friendly environment with like minded people.

What’s the best way to spend a Sunday afternoon? On the Jamie Murray VIP Client Day! We had 2 hours on court with Jamie, which was great fun (hope he enjoyed it too!) followed by a Q&A session with him. Thank you for organising this Active Away, we really enjoyed the event and appreciated being part of it.

Our week away at Royal Mare in Crete was fantastic! Joel and his team went above and beyond to keep our group of 22 organized and having fun the whole time. The resort was beautiful and the view from the red clay courts was gorgeous! I learned some great doubles tips and I can’t wait to try them out on my friends now that I’m back home. I would highly recommend a week with Active Away and look forward to doing it again!

Just done a week with Active Away in Crete at Royal Mare. Fantastic group of like minded people and with Chloe and India as the two Coaches with Joel as our Host. Nothing was too much trouble for him from the moment we arrived. He delivered one of the best opening meetings with spot on organisational and communication with us all throughout the entire week. All three coaches delivered a very memorable week both on and off court with a lot of laughter and tennis throughout. If your looking for a holiday that is well organised with some amazing people and a great tennis programme allowing a great balance of down time while you are on holiday with activity too, look no further than Active Away as the entire experience makes a fantastic holiday. I would strongly recommend a holiday with Active Away. You may not leave at the end of the week feeling fully refreshed but you will have had a fantastic holiday and leave wanting more.

It was my third Active Away Holiday so perhaps I was more receptive to doubles coaching, but I found the coaching to be an exceptionally high level. The pace was faster than I remember from previous trips. Great variation of drills and challenges play. The group was mixed well when playing social tennis in the afternoon. Both George and Owen gave a good balance of individual tips and doubles tactics. They worked together well as a team, and were professional but good fun.

Fantastic hosts with Dan, Alex, Sophie and Rich who not only worked seamlessly together but made the whole group feel part of their team, with a great balance of hard work, competition and fun.

I had a medical pass (fractured ankle) but still had a fabulous week thanks to the coaching team and the participants including me in.

Dan and the team were amazing. They looked after us so well. From the quality of the coaching to all the non tennis related activities. They were great hosts backed up the excellent service of the hotel staff.

Active Away promote a positive team spirit and make the sessions fun and proactive. I couldn’t play (medical reasons) but the team made sure I was included and I got a lot from watching the coaching.

AA is one of the best holidays to improve your tennis but also to have tremendous fun.

This was my 5th tennis holiday with Active Away. We stayed at Royal Mare in Crete for the 2nd year running. This is a beautiful well-run resort with large, clean, comfortable rooms on an all-inclusive basis. Our Active Away host, Dan, was excellent and, along with his team of Sophie, Alex and Rich, impressively delivered the Active Away coaching programme which has been devised by Jamie Murray. Dan was very organised, with slick communication each day on what we would be doing in the coaching sessions and also collecting our menu choices for days we were dining at the speciality on-site restaurants. The team were great fun, very friendly and approachable and delivered a really enjoyable week of tennis on the clay courts, in the sunshine. Fantastic exhibition match at the end of the week too. Would definitely recommend.

This was my 4th Active Away holiday and as always was excellent. I usually go on my own and even though I’m now in my seventies I always feel part of the group and able to fully participate. This year was excellent with great coaches and a fabulous group of people. I’ll be back!!

I came as part of a group from my tennis club. Dan, Sophie, Alex and Stanley looked after us so well. From our arrival we were so well looked after. The tennis coaching was great. Both the coaching sessions and for me the tips during game play which were invaluable.
