Meet your Active Away host, coaching team and fellow players in the Clubroom before heading to the indoor carpet courts. Please arrive ready to begin the on-court programme promptly at 12:00.

Start with a light, progressive warm-up to raise your heart rate, prepare your movement and settle into the day. It is also an easy first chance to meet the other players on court.

The coaches organise the group across three courts, with no more than six players per coach and court. Groups may rotate during the day so players can be challenged appropriately. Speak to your host if you feel over or under challenged.

Build your split-step timing, reactions at the net and consistency from the baseline through progressive rally exercises. The focus is on balance, control and producing a repeatable ball before moving into the main themes of the first coaching block.

Develop greater consistency, shape and control from the baseline. You will work on reducing avoidable errors, using your strongest shot with purpose and recognising when to stay patient or become more aggressive.

Improve the height and direction of your volleys while adapting your contact point and court position. The session helps you keep opponents under pressure, protect the right space and look for the opportunity to take control at the net.

Finish the first coaching block by building a more reliable partnership at the net. The coaches focus on coordinated movement, clear positioning and protecting space together so both players become harder to pass.

Lunch and drinks are not included, but food and drink can be bought in the Clubroom. Please ask the Clubroom team about current choices and any dietary or allergen requirements before ordering.

Return to court with cooperative and competitive rally progressions. You will rebuild rhythm, sharpen your touch at the net and raise the intensity gradually before moving into the afternoon tactics.

Learn how to use fakes and poaches during the rally to disrupt your opponents without moving at the wrong moment. The session develops sharper decision-making, purposeful movement and greater confidence at the net.

Work on the returner and their partner operating as a pair. Combine a positive return with a well-timed cross or switch from the net player, using communication and early movement to take time away from the serving team.

Put the day into practice in coached match play. Use the Spanish Drills and Doubles Disruption themes under real scoring pressure, with the coaching team helping you recognise the right patterns and decisions.
