My first Active Away holiday, but certainly not my last. I was invited by a friend and did not feel comfortable booking just by myself. Next time, I would happily book on my own if my friend can't make it, as the hosts/coaches made sure we had the opportunity to get to know the other guests well enough in tennis, to make socialising afterwards very easy. I learned a lot on court, and enjoyed every minute.

I just had my first Active Away holiday at Lyttos Mere. It was a great time of year to go, the weather was perfect and the facilities, courts and staff were amazing! We were hosted by Matt, and coached by Alex, Chris, Gemma, Sam and Sophie who were all amazing. The tennis drills were fantastic so everyone came away with an improved game. This is my second Active Away Tennis holiday. I highly recommend them. I went to one with my partner and one with two girlfriends even though there were similarities Active Away provide the option of having completely different experiences but one not being better than the other both my Tennis holidays have been magical.

We have been on 3 Active Away holidays now, so I think that says a lot. Nearly everyone in the group was a returning customer. The tennis coaching is outstanding; all based on doubles play. The organisation, not only during the tennis sessions but throughout the whole stay, is exceptional. The coaches are far more than just coaches, they make the holiday feel relaxed and special and take all the usual holiday stresses away. You all become a close knit group; it doesn’t matter if you are travelling solo or as a couple or group, everyone gets to know everyone. But by far the best part is the tennis and what you learn. Awesome!

Oh my I have wanted to do an AA for a while but due to injury unable, but this was the year! Booked on Tuesday flew on Saturday and the next 7 days were a tennis dream 🎾 Superb energetic, informative, highly skilled coaches who delivered great advice and now it's up to me to put it into practice on the court. I did not realise that not only do they coach you they also host you all week constantly adding laughter, team meals, dance moves, constantly encouraging team spirit and really knowing each individual guest..... high skills AA. The hotel was comfortable, beach front and they made great cocktails with original branded spirits ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you we will be back as I need more AA in my life!

Having never been on a tennis holiday before, and travelling by myself, this holiday absolutely exceeded my expectations. I had a fantastic week in Crete, meeting such a lovely group of people, whilst also improving my tennis skills. I can see why Drago's Den were so keen to chose Active Away. From the moment you book you are nurtured and cared for. Literally until they hug you goodbye. You become part of the Active Away family. This holiday was my first with them. Totally outside my comfort zone. The resort was amazing. Clean and super efficient. First class accomodation and food. Active Away must vet the venues very carefully. The tennis centre was amazing. The hotel was also on a beautiful beach and the ambience was excellent. The coaching was professional and concise. You knew where to be from an organisational point of view, what to do during the session and you were expertly coached. Our host Matt, a director, was there to meet us and there to say goodbye with his team. For a director, instead of being hands off, he was hands on. His passion drives the experience. He infuses his team with professionalism and fun. Iti is not a clinical experience. It is a unique mix of like being in a family but also held to a high bar to do your best on court, respect all the participants and have a lot of fun. There was also a day off which they skillfully guided you on as to options. I think that the directors of this company have put magic in a tennis ball. Of course on a holiday where you play tennis with a lot of people that you don't know there are moments where you are under pressure caused by yourself, but there is always an encouraging word from the coaches to get you back to feeling okay. The Lyttos Mare venue for tennis is amazing - beautiful courts with a mix of artificial clay and hard court. The coaching was brilliant (as ever) and the new Jamie Murray program perfectly strikes the balance of challenging but relevant to most peoples game.

Meeting the active away family has been brilliant for me, I love going on all there holidays nothing is too much trouble. I’d never thought of going on a managed holiday before but the opportunity arose. At first I wondered what I’d come to, but by the end of the week had made new life-long friends as well as improved my tennis a little. Thoroughly worth it!
